Soul Food
I am so happy sometimes
My insides
Soar in rapture
And I stretch and reach
And touch the walls
And ceiling
Till this place
I fill
Becomes too small
To keep me insqueezed.
Then I long to rush beyond it
In a rapid
Expansion of everlasting
Reach and grin, width of expressive
Soul encompassing
All life
And all things - that is
My true size.
I would be miles
Wide and miles high
Looking down and
Looking in
To torch all roads
To touch and thread
All breath. I would
Let the world find
Itself
An eternal good;
I would be God with my
Soul food.
