maxim
none of us goes
through life unscathed - the tunnel
has barbs and drops that are
impossible to avoid, and daylight
that comes and goes
good companions are rare
but can be found through
luck and ingenuity - nothing
comes to the walker through
no effort and inactivity - passive
sitting leads only to
entropy and misuse of
all our gifts, to blindness -
but to the walker
walking on, the time
wears the skin and
many things are broken,
some heal, some don't
but all our scars are
intact at the end
and the risen body shows
them true in the soul
