The Truth

There is no feigning
in these pages -
I am all there for
all to see and point and
ridicule all the hurts
of my heart all the
thoughts of my mind, my
sentient eyes' impressions
of the world that are
real and true as you -
my prophet's sight goes
beneath the skin and its
words ring the blood there
conniving - this world could be
a silver thing of beauty and
real trade; instead you are
betrayed by your own fear
and carry all the greed
that you can bear. Poor soul
so soured by too much
digital reality, the real
tree your eyes see is
but a shadow on the wall
of your cave - clip your own
chains on, and crave.
