The Light

Be our light in the darkness
Make us believe
we can be better than we are

Without you
we have no hope of something better
we relegate ourselves
to lower places of
darkness and pain

we can reach the light
we can turn round
be our torchlight, our
guide-light, our
tunnel-light that we can 
follow

with hope in our hearts
for something better
for something new
we can be
