The Castle

My castle is made of crystal and diamonds,
platinum and silver,
rubies and pearl - its
battlements are fair
and in the sun it is
a mirror of light.

All its rooms and halls are clean -
daily swept -
even the wooden places
where I wept
before the altar
and my dungeons of lavender
smell sweet in
altered state.

I live here now in peace
with all my loves around me
and my banners are bright,
my wall hangings fresh woven
from silk and wool,
and my doors are cloth of gold -

all that is left to do
is create -
it is what I am for.
