Stardust II

blue haze out there
no movement, still air,
gloaming comes down, lilac
purple, soon the moon will rise
over the hill, bright

shadows on my heart, blue
haze in my mind, there
are no parallel lines anymore -
I have dreams instead
of people who are gone
places I have never been
and it doesn't matter now -
a millenium of bone dust
in the hills, crumbling stone,
all the lives lived
the years are short and done -
my song only fills my
ears, my
bone, the loch will take me
over one day and I will be
water-born
and all my breath
and all my heart
will be saharan dust on
someone's car, drifting
down in the still purple air
with no-one left who
remembered I was here
