Presence here and now
the night stars wheel overhead
the purple air is breathable
the silent owls watch from the trees
the bats skim past, I feel them
my eyes are too slow
the lord hangs in the air
the lord of the Universe is here
in every molecule
in every movement of air
in every breath
so near
so huge
so near and so huge we cannot see
we are blinded
by invisibility
by what is right in front of us
by all the things we name
but do not understand
our own cave drawings
tell us all we need to know:
our hands;
the beauty of the world
