Now Boarding

I try to board a plane
That is nowhere-bound.

Try to leave my luggage
In the lurch on the ground.

It calls to me, it calls
Plaintif from lost property

Annoyed at my evasion of
Burden it is mocking me.

I want to travel light, be
Caught in currents high

And strong, powerful airs that
Drag me with them, O to fly

In wind too rare to breathe.
Is there one seat left? May I

Have it please? Can I
Leave my baggage behind?
