changing

heavy rain I heard it
drumming on the roof
above my bed and
all the day is washed
clean and soaking
and the air is warm
there are jewels that sparkle
in the sun on every
leaf and plant
the wind is mobile
and the silver clouds
scud by

my wood was delivered
by a cheery man
and it is covered
waiting for my man
to come from the East
and bless my days
with peace and concord
ease and release
from the tangle of the mind
and no good deed done

the rain has washed my
cobwebs away
and the wind is fresh and free
