all bewildered things
all bewildered things
come my way
jewels and tinsel, bells ring
stillness grows in the waiting
I do not know
I do not know
I know not what or how to do
teach me tiny things, teach me
to forget the feet and hands
all the muddy doing of days
and see a new road with
my eyes and heart: one
that gleams and shines
straight before me
where all the rocks fall away
and it is paved with peace,
fulfilment, a quiet joy
on the final day
where all sure and certain things
come my way
