The Way
day of cleaning; day of jazz; day
of prayer - mild weather out
there no hint of snow, slow
clouds and no wind - my
man is on the road and will
arrive within the hour for
our Christ Mass together this
year of twenty-eighteen
I am serene in the moment -
and yesterday pure moments
of peace, a grace, unlasting,
but I try my habit
on for size and watch a
YouTube vlog of a young
woman making the journey
into Enclosure -
as I make my journey
out of the wood where the
path petered-out and I
had no clue where
to head next out of the
dark trees to the desert plains
with mountains in the
distance capped with snow:
the way I must go
