Nothing remarkable

Nothing remarkable happened today:
the usual disarray;
cold winds, grey cloud; I
fought the ground; there was
fruit and tea. I am
reasonably happy with my lot
and my way.

I read my kindle for hours
these days, enjoy silence.
I dislike going away.
Routine and balance
are the two goals
I never fail to miss.

I have as much
and as little
as I could wish; I hope
my heart
can grow into peace. I reap
the flowers of many years:
fragrant and sweet.
