Never look back
Minus five tonight, the grass looks
like it has been strewn with
diamonds and the stars are bright
there is chaos in Cornwall: one
inch of snow and the whole south
east grinds to a halt, cars skewed
I thought today of past loves
who left along the road
and wonder if they think of me
I don't think I managed
to lighten the load
along with way
it doesn't do to think too hard
about all the whys - there
are no answers to the deaths,
the cries, all the hurts of
luck and its lack - best
never to look back
